Paragliding Over Pokhara
Pokhara, Nepal
And just when I think I can’t do anything more fun, that I can’t accomplish any more of my life goals, that I can’t feel any happier – Nepal strikes again. Spending an hour peacefully flying (save the acrobatics we did at the end) over the Himalayas, wind in my hair, smile on my face, will definitely go down as one of the highlights of this trip…of this life. I didn’t expect to love paragliding that much, but what is life worth living for if not to be surprised?
Today I woke up early to watch the sunrise over the mountains, then spent the afternoon in a small Tibetan settlement north of here shopping for silver trinkets and chatting with monks. Tomorrow I’m off for a short trekking adventure, but I feel that there isn’t enough time to do it all, isn’t enough time to see everything I want to see in this fascinating and beautiful country. Ah Nepal, I suppose I’ll just have to come back…
p.s. Regarding the postcards in the post below, would Dr. Genius, Lexi, Sophie, and Naomi please send your addresses to thisbatteredsuitcase @ gmail.com. Ali and Lorra Fae, I already have yours. Lisa and Melissa, expect a postcard from Nepal as I had already left India by the time you sent your emails!
